SRI BHAGAVAN ON : ‘SEEING’
”What you see outside is only a reflection of your relationship with yourself” — Sri Amma Bhagavan
”You are A STRANGER unto yourself” – Sri Amma Bhagavan.
SRI BHAGAVAN: ”If you look inside yourself and discover who you are and accept yourself as you are and love yourself, you will completely have no difficulty with the external world because it is the inner world which is creating the external world. Now in case you have difficulty with the external world, inspite of your having seen the inner world,it means you have not really seen the inner world.Because the inner world is the one that is actually creating the external problem.
The problem is you are having difficulties in seeing the inner world. That is where the blessing or the deeksha or the grace comes in,because it is very painful to really see who you are. There is a secret side to yourselves which you hide from others and hide from yourself.Infact you have lost touch with it.
Your fears are there, your anger is there, your hurts are there, your jealousy is there, your lust is there, your terrible thoughts are there. They are all there of which you are ashamed and you are frightened of looking at them and this is what is getting all the mess in the outside world.
On the other hand if you would develop the courage not to condemn it,not to judge it,not to justify it,not to offer explainations, not run away from it,but hold it as carefully as you hold a new born baby.”
”Any new framework only postpones your freedom from the mind.” – SRI AMMA BHAGAVAN
Q1:) To see what is there gives me suffering. You teach us that suffering is in fight and I know that the solution is in let myself go. What is most difficult to do is to give up, because fear is very powerful. Can you help me?
SRI BHAGAVAN: ”You say that what you see is causing you suffering, that’s what you say. That means you’re not seeing at all. Because, to see is to be free, You’re commenti…ng …on what you’re seeing.Continuous running commentaries is going on on what you’re seeing. That commentary IS the suffering. But if you really see, there is only seeing. How can there be suffering? There’s just the seeing, that’s all. The fact is you’re not seeing. You are saying that you see is causing your suffering. That means you’re not actually seeing what is going on. There is only the mental commentary that is going on which is suffering. So you’ve not got the hang of seeing. What you need is a very powerful deeksha, Then you’ll be able to see. To see is to be free. I will help you in that.”
”When you confront yourself, you will know who you are.”
”The journey begins and ends with the awareness of where you truly are” -sri Amma Bhagavan
SRI AMMA BHAGAVAN
”The human mind cannot live in guilt. Therefore, it creates a lie and then goes on repeating the lie to itself until it believes in it. The first step to being spiritual is to face the truth about oneself— is to be self-realized. Self-realization is not seeing oneself as the Brahman or atman, the immortal or as God. It is seeing oneself as he/she is right now”.
” The gap between the ‘what is’ and the ‘what should be’ is the mind.” – Sri Amma Bhagavan
What is Self Pride?
SRI BHAGAVAN: ”Self Pride is what you think you are where as loving ourselves is to see what you actually are. You may have a image about yourself, some idea about yourself and we expect others to accept that image about yourself and to look at you that way.But the world has some other image about yourself. So this has nothing to do with what image you have or what image others have. It has to do with what you actually are.If you can see what you actually are and accept it then we can call it love, loving yourself which is the most important thing for the worldly success or for spiritual growth. On the other hand self pride is your idea about yourself,is only a image. So one is imaginary, other is real.” ————————————————————————————————————————————— ”Do not try to fill yourself with love but stay in the fact that there is no love”- Sri Amma Bhagavan
SRI BHAGAVAN: ”How do you grow? We have given you all the teachings. First you understand them intellectually, then you have to apply them in your life. If you do not apply them, it’s no use. After understanding intellectually, let us say, we are often telling you ”Look inside yourself. You will discover that you are a rubbish pit, a septic tank. Terrible things are inside you.” Now you have to take this inward journey and get to grips, hold like a baby, your jealousy, your anger, your fear, your lust, your hatred – you must handle them.
You must handle them in a very naive way, not as a concept, but actually go inside, with the help of the blessing, see and hold them, like you hold a newborn baby. Hold it so delicately. Not condemning, not judging, but hold it and experience it. If you keep doing this, you will discover that the teaching works. For the teaching to work, of course, you have to get the blessing also. The blessing, that is, you can straight away receive the blessing by contacting the Divine, in whatever form you want to, along with the teaching. You must do this as a practice, almost every day.”
Action born out of unawareness is reaction. It will only produce conflict, confusion and further unawareness.
SRI BHAGAVAN: ”The trouble comes from the fact that you are not actually seeing it, you are only commenting on it. You are assuming things there. If you really see, it is a simple little thing, and it no more bothers you. The stress goes out of you. I’ll be guiding you through all this to see clearly what is going on inside of you. Thereby, you’ll become completely free of it. This is the focus for 2012.
To watch, is to be aware. To watch is to be awakened. To watch is to be enlightened. That is all. You are imagining that in doing that, you are going to get somewhere. There is nowhere to go. There is just the watching, that is all and the whole movement is as such that there will come a time where the whole universe become alive and that we are moving into a state of awareness, including physical matter which of course is in the future.
The best place to watch oneself and to realize who one is, is in relationship. Relationship is a mirror is which you can see yourself. That is the easiest way to actually become aware of who you are, observe yourself and start accepting yourself. That is why we emphasize, in Oneness, so much on relationships.”
”When you see that there is nothing much you could do,it leads you to surrender. When you surrender and feel helpless, then the kundalini rises. When the kundalini rises Seeing happens. Not that you see, there is no you who is seeing.SEEING HAPPENS.Seeing is effortless,Accepting is effortless. If you put in effort you will not get there. The only purpose of putting in effort is to realise you are helpless and that there is nothing you could do.Your role is up to that point. There after kundalini takes over.SEEING HAPPENS.”
”SEEING does not lead to anything.SEEING IS TO BE AWAKENED.You SHOULD NOT Think you will SEE and therefore something will happen.SEEING is the Awakened state.Initially it comes and goes and therefore we say you move into and move out of Awakened states. There after when you become Awakened it is permanent and irreversible. It Is Not That You Are Doing Anything,You Have Completely Changed.” ——————————————————————————————————————————————- ”Oneness is all about watching yourself, staying with whatever is there. That is Oneness.” ~ Sri Bhagavan
‘Every incident, event or happening has a divine timing and a divine order and is divinely planned……………..
SRI BHAGAVAN: ”The problem is not with anger, not with jealousy, not with hatred but it is with your naming. Why do you call it anger, lust, hatred? Why do you name it? Whatever is there is there. And whether the thought is lust or God, both are equally sacred because God is both and there’s nothing but God only. The universe is God and God is the universe. So how could you say that this is bad..th…is is good? Obviously you can’t say that. Unless we have the high and the low, the up and the down, the front and the back, there can be no creation. If you have an electron, you must have the proton. If you have matter, you must have anti matter. You can’t do without both sides and that’s the essential principle of creation. So they’ll all be there and I have often told you…It’s not your mind, it’s the human mind. It has been so and it will be so.”
